agrantis: who we are and what we do

We are a startup in the agriculture space that strives to transform the way agricultural goods and inputs are traded. We’re building a SaaS platform to enable an API-driven, B2B Marketplace for farmers and local retailers where everyone can reap the rewards (speed, ease of use, process efficiency). Our stack comprises of a mobile app, SPA and set of cloud services built by our in house and external team of developers. Our company is based in Munich, with clients currently in Germany but aim for Europe and the world.

Our team is young and growing fast, with years of experience in process optimization, agriculture wholesale, and tech development. We believe that digitization of ordering processes will be an elementary component for agriculture in the future.

What we offer

With us you start from scratch: being a young startup you can shape how we structure our software development processes and what the architecture of our platforms looks like. You are the starting point for building an internal tech team together with Darren, our experienced Head of Software Development.

What we are looking for – the ideal candidate

• An entrepreneur at heart: you are proactively looking for and prioritizing tasks
• You have experience working in agile teams to organize and prioritize business value together with solid technical foundations and smart implementation
• You are happy to build something from scratch, fail fast and iterate to find the perfect customer fit
• You are a team player who values team collaboration, accepts feedback and embraces diversity
• You can liaise with third parties to build and work on APIs, especially to ERPs

Skills and Experience

• 4+ years in a relevant engineering position
• Proficient in Go, SQL and cloud and containerized applications
• Experience in designing microservice applications including common communication patterns and deployment processes
• Experience building GraphQL APIs and resolvers is highly desired
• Business sense and commercial interest in agriculture industry is a plus
• Experience in eCommerce and ERP systems is a plus
• Fluent in English is a must. Fluency in German is a plus.
