Junior Venture Architect (f/m/d)

Sonnenstraße 31, 80331 München
negotiable Expires in 3 months

Company Description

We are Stryber – the largest independent corporate portfolio builder in Europe.

We build corporate unicorns, help our clients launch new digital ventures from scratch (and fix the strategy behind it).

We are a team of 90+ exceptional venturers collaborating from Munich, Zurich, Kiev, and London. We come from over 22 countries and love to be excellent and different. At Stryber you can expect a no-bullshit, down-to-earth, yet high caliber work environment.

Our approach

We apply our own proven process to identify interesting market signals. We build web/mobile prototypes and MVPs to test and iterate these signals quickly in the market. We then scale the most promising ones to become leading solutions. We are full stack – from analytically sound investment theses over rapid MVPs to sophisticated deep-tech solutions, we have a variety of start-up projects ahead of us in several exciting verticals, such as FinTech, PropTech, Digital Health, Food & Beverage or MarTech. Among all corporate venture builders, we are the “strategic” one – we have a comprehensive view on strategy and governance questions around corporate venture building.

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Venture Architect (f/m/d) to join our team that can build the blueprint for new digital businesses and execute on that. Our teams function as small, independent founder teams and as a junior VA you work closely with a Senior VA. You’ll be responsible for assisting with the venture development and executing your own workstreams. You’ll quickly learn how to de-risk the building of a venture and over time can move up to become the senior VA, comparable to the CEO of a venture.

You will be part of the Stryber team – a dynamic team of top-notch experts that is highly motivated to create impact. Over the last five years, we have developed a solid and comprehensive framework for corporate innovation with a very thick secret sauce that is not easy to copy.

What to expect

As a Venture Architect no day will be the same. You will be the responsible person for a specific startup:

  • You’ll hold end-to-end responsibility for dedicated workstreams, from idea validation to delivering the MVP
  • Learn fast and fail fast. The typical startup duration is between 3-9 months
  • At any time, you will be part of, and get support from a great team at Stryber, which applies solid methods and provides clear guidance. Your areas of responsibility include:
    • Working with a multidisciplinary and dynamic team of Stryber specialists, highly motivated to create impact, i.e. Product Owners, UI/UX Designers, Growth Marketers and Tech Development
    • Leading workstreams and executing on all parts along the venture building process: quant./qual. research, value proposition design, prototyping, hypothesis testing, business model development and delivering the MVP
  • Learn the data-driven and structured way of working
  • Work with international clients on a global scale

  • At least 6 months experience in a high-pressure start-up environment (preferred early stage) with exposure to multidisciplinary teams and/or involvement with a top tier consulting firm or venture capital fund
  • Bachelor degree or higher in the field of business, science and engineering with outstanding academic results
  • Education with a focus on Entrepreneurship and/or Innovation is a plus
  • You are active in the startup and entrepreneurship community
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • First experience with lean startup and agile methodologies
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis to work closely with the venture’s target audience
  • Full-time availability (part-time or freelance is not possible)
  • Fluency in English

Additional information

  • A highly dynamic and energetic environment
  • Unique “move fast & break things” culture
  • Huge opportunity for personal growth and fascinating projects that actually creates impact
