JOB DETAIL

We are looking for an experienced backend developer for our mobile app, to join our development team full time. You will join an established small agile product team, working closely with our engineers, product owner, designer, and QA. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable and performant backends to power our iOS and Android app. You will have the opportunity to shape our team and engineering processes.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and maintain the Plantura App backend and integrations with third party APIs and services
  • Write clean and maintainable code
  • Take up end to end ownership of your results
  • Define the architecture of our backends
  • Diagnose and fix bugs
  • Collaborate with app and frontend developers
  • Be ready to learn and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Passionate about scalable, resilient, and fault tolerant systems
  • > 3 years of experience developing backend applications
  • Experience writing clean, testable, and well documented JavaScript code (preferable TypeScript)
  • Experience developing high-traffic backends
  • Experience working with AWS technologies is a plus
  • Having worked in a remote environment before is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of software design principles
  • English working proficiency with strong communication skills
